Used Car Buying tips- Engine Check-up

Used Car- internal Check-up

Seats and Interior
Make sure that the seats are comfortable. The interior finishing quality, Dash board, Accelerate, Break and Clutch Pedals are working properly or not.

Electric Systems
Test the head lights, internal light, tail light, side light and hazard are working, Speedometer and odometer. Audio system wireless central lock systems, Air
conditioner, Heater, Wipers, power window are running correctly.

Engine & Engine Cooling System (Radiator)
Open the bonnet and make sure that there is no leakage of oil or any other liquids from engine and other parts. If found leakage, it means owner is not servicing the used car regularly. Start the engine and check for unnecessary sound. If any unnecessary sound heard, there is some problem with engine.
It is the most important thing, if the engine does not cool down it may harm your engine badly.

Check out the engine cooling system means the radiator is working accurately. At the time of test drive make sure that the engine cooling indicator may not cross more than 50%. If it crosses it means engine cooling system is not working properly.

Engine oil Levels & Pressure
Check the engine oil, if you found low oil level it means that the engine use more oil than required. This indicates bad condition of the used cars engine.

To check the Engine oil pressure start the engine, if there is low pressure of engine oil it will indicate within 3 or 4 seconds at the indicate panel. Low pressure is the sign of poorer engine quality.
If you found that type problems of used cars engine, the used car owner had not maintain his car regularly.

Check the used car as follow.

Car Body
Give first preference to see the used car in daylight. See the used car from different direction and distance. Look that any scratches taken placed, cracks, paint overlapping, damage etc, if you found this type of thing it means the used car had met with an accident. See the interior and roof also. Car bonnet is not fit correctly is also a sign of accident. But if you still want to buy it then check out that any criminal-accident report with this register number.

Car’s Tyre
If you found that the car tyre worm out from one side it is a sign of poor wheel
alignment. Don’t forget to check the spare wheel also.

Car suspension
Drive the car Push down the used car by press your hand at the corner of the used car bonnet. Check that some unnecessary sound heard, car does not up and down for more time. If this happen it means that the car’s suspension does not work properly.

Doors
A Good conditioned Door does not need much force for open and close. Check it by open and close do this twice or more time if necessary. Check out that the door handle and lock (and central lock) is working properly or not. Up and down the window, also check the window closing level. Don’t miss to check the seat belt and its lock.

Car balance
While driving if the car should lean in any direction it means the car, tire balance or wheel alignment is not done properly. In some cases, chase alignment may also the reason.

Now the dream comes true. The World’s Cheapest Car TATA NANO is going to launch on 23rd March 2009. Nano will be launched in Bombay. On Car launching is drawing world-wide attraction because it is the cheapest car in the world, prizing around 1,00,000(INR). This price is the dealer price, on this price value added tax and transport charges will be applied. But it will display at Tata Motors Dealers from the first week of April 2009. And From the second week of the same month Booking will starts.

Tata Nano was announced as the world’s cheapest car by Ratan Tata before five years ago. And at that time steel prices and other related items prices were lower than today. Therefore the price of Nano was expected more than one lacks. But Once Rata Tata told that he will manufacture the one lac car for people. And on 23rd March 2009 he is going to prove what he said, he had done. Nano will available in three different models, there is one model in standard variant and two models with air-condition in deluxe model.

TATA NANO'S DESCRIPTION

Tata Nano stands in an Entry level of car segment. It has 624 CC petrol engine with 33 bhp. It has 4 speed manual transmissions. It will gives the mileage of 23 kmpl. This makes Nano a fuel affiance car. Nano has features of Bharat Stage 3 segment. About the pollution matter Nano generates pollution less than the two-wheelers. Nano can store 30 liter fuel in it’s fuel tank. The car has Front disk brakes and rear drum bakes. Tata gives an option to choose between air conditioner and without air-conditioner models. There is no power steering facility in any model of Tata Nano. Tata had used basic shock absorbers in Nano.

On the dashboard of Nano, there is fuel Speedo meter, fuel meter, oil indicator at the middle of the Dash board. It’s length is 8% shorter than Maruti 800. But it had more leg space than Maruti 800.

In 1983 Maruti 800 launched and it had change the small – entry level car market. Now Tata Nano is available at about half prized of Maruti 800. If Tata Nano will be successful then it will change the entry level car market again after Maruti 800, and may be to help Indian auto industry in financial crises.
